Here’s to making 2025 a year of excellence, discovery, and achievement!
With 20 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping every child reach their full potential. My journey began in a Montessori environment, where I honed my teaching skills before transitioning to the Foundation Phase. Later, I took on the exciting challenge of establishing Grade 4 and Grade 5 classes in the InterSen Phase, where I spent several years growing as an educator and leader.
Throughout my career, I have served in various leadership roles, including Grade Head, Subject Head, and Head of Department. Now, as the newly appointed Deputy of the Foundation Phase, I am eager to apply my knowledge and experience to support the growth and development of both students and teachers. I look forward to working alongside a dedicated team and contributing to the success of our school community.
Assessments
Trinityhouse employs Continuous Assessment strategies, including classwork, homework, presentations, and group activities, to evaluate student knowledge and skills. Various assessment methods such as summative, formative, self, group, and teacher assessments are used. In the Foundation Phase, we hold information evenings, feedback meetings, and provide comprehensive progress reports.
The Intermediate Phase includes parent evenings, feedback sessions, and progress reports.
Extramural Activities
Trinityhouse Centurion Preparatory offers an extensive sports program and coaching, prioritizing participation by entering numerous teams in each age group. This allows a maximum number of students to engage in sports activities.
Uniforms
At Trinityhouse, we emphasize that a child's attire and grooming reflect their pride, respect, and attitude towards the school community and education. It is our policy for all students to wear the appropriate school uniform during school hours and related activities, including extra-curricular engagements.
Discipline
At Trinityhouse, our Christian ethos promotes a disciplined lifestyle.
Children are taught to obey parents and authorities, with teachers representing parents at school. We believe that clear behavioural rules create a peaceful and loving environment, enhancing a sense of security and belonging. Respect for these rules is crucial to foster harmonious relationships between children and teachers.
Digital Literacy, refers to an individual's ability to find, evaluate, and compose clear information through writing and other media on various digital platforms.
